ERAM takes part in a project to recover the history of ratafia
The ERAM University Centre for the Arts, affiliated with the University of Girona, is collaborating with La Salle Santa Coloma de Farners and TECNIC Bioprocess Solutions on an initiative that combines research, science and audiovisual creation to promote the cultural heritage of ratafia.
The project aims to bring the history and traditions of ratafia closer to the public through new forms of communication. The initiative also involves the collaboration of the Ratafia Guild and other local organisations.
In this context, ERAM will contribute to the creative and audiovisual development of the project, providing technical advice and resources to transform the materials gathered during the research process into visual content and immersive experiences. The involvement of the centre’s professionals and students will make it possible to explore new ways of communicating and representing cultural heritage through audiovisual language and current technologies.
La Salle Santa Coloma de Farners will coordinate the research with its students and the recovery of ratafia-related heritage, while TECNIC Bioprocess Solutions will explore how technology can be used to visually represent the processes involved in making ratafia.
La Salle’s immersive room will be one of the project’s main spaces. This environment will make it possible to combine audiovisual, artistic and scientific resources to present the results.
Beyond its technological dimension, the initiative seeks to preserve traditional knowledge and encourage its transmission between generations. The recovery of family recipes and local testimonies will provide the foundation for an experience that connects collective memory with new approaches to cultural dissemination.
