The ERAM University Center of the Arts, affiliated with the University of Girona (UdG), offers the first official Master’s degree in Interaction Design in Catalonia.
This Master’s is designed at the intersection of engineering, the arts, and social sciences, with the objective of training highly multidisciplinary teams.
Student Profiles
Although the ideal profile comes from fields such as multimedia, interaction design, or Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) (whether from design or engineering), candidacies from various fields are admitted thanks to the program’s transversal nature.
We accept students with degrees in:
Engineering (Computer Science, Computational, Industrial, or Product).
Arts and Humanities (Communication, Architecture).
Social Sciences (Sociology, Anthropology, Cognitive Sciences).
Fundamentals and Curriculum Adaptation
To ensure that all students achieve a solid foundation, the Master’s includes foundational subjects in the first semester (Creative Technology, Design Skills, and Interaction Design Fundamentals). These subjects are adapted to offer basic knowledge to students without prior experience, while also allowing those who already have it to deepen their expertise, fostering the exchange of knowledge between disciplines.
For admission, it is essential to hold a Bachelor’s, Diploma, or Licentiate degree and to have completed the university pre-enrolment.
It is an essential requirement to accredit the C1 level of English (reading comprehension, oral and written communication) using the specified certifications.
Should the candidate not possess the certification, the coordination team will assess their communicative ability during the interview. If the candidate is exceptionally admitted, they must obtain the certification during the first year by undertaking complementary training at the school or accessing the courses offered by the UdG language service.
For the evaluation of candidacies, the following documentation must be submitted:
Academic transcript (training and professional experience).
Portfolio of relevant work (20% of the total evaluation).
Motivation letter (20% of the evaluation).
Evidence of English level.
Letters of recommendation (maximum 2).
Interview with the Master’s coordination team (20% of the evaluation).
IMPORTANT INFORMATION – Please note that the Master in Interaction Design will not start until September 2027.
Once admission to the Master’s in Interaction Design has been obtained, the next step is to complete enrollment within the deadlines set by the institution.
The enrollment process is carried out following the indicated guidelines and procedures. It is important to complete all required steps within the specified period to ensure proper admission to the program.
Enrollment implies acceptance of the master’s academic and organizational conditions, as well as a commitment to the training program.
