From Idea to Image: An Interdisciplinary Editorial Project at ERAM
Third-year students of the Bachelor’s Degree in Fashion at the ERAM University Centre of the Arts have developed an editorial project that brings together creativity, research and professional practice, in collaboration with students from the degrees in Performing Arts and Audiovisual Communication and Multimedia.
One of the project’s main highlights has been the interdisciplinary collaboration between ERAM’s three degree programmes. Fashion students have developed and directed the editorial concepts; Performing Arts students have taken centre stage in front of the camera, while Audiovisual Communication and Multimedia students have been responsible for photography and image post-production.
The creative process culminated at the LAB, where students, under the coordination of Jordi Caralt, worked on the graphic design and final layout of the editorials, bringing each proposal to completion.
The project has also involved two professionals from the fashion industry: makeup artist Sandra Tosca and stylist Otti Ramírez. Their experience has helped guide students in defining the aesthetics, visual language and creative vision of each editorial, bringing them closer to the industry’s creative processes and professional practices.
This experience highlights the potential of collaboration across disciplines and strengthens hands-on learning through shared projects, connecting classroom knowledge with the processes and demands of professional practice.
