ERAM participates in Sehsüchte 2026 with the immersive installation “WildTech Experience”
From April 22 to 26, 2026, the city of Potsdam hosted the 55th edition of the Sehsüchte International Student Film Festival, one of Europe’s leading events dedicated to emerging talent in the audiovisual field. In this context, Escola Universitària ERAM UdG took part with an innovative proposal exploring the intersection of technology, nature, and human experience.
ERAM’s participation was framed within an exhibition featuring a curated selection of contemporary works focused on art, technology, and experimentation. Interactive installations, audiovisual pieces, and hybrid formats invited audiences to explore, reflect, and engage with the projects throughout the day. In the evening, the exhibition space transformed into a dynamic setting for audiovisual performances, fostering connections among artists, students, and visitors.
Within this framework, the Playful Living Lab team presented “WildTech Experience”, a tangible interactive installation that allows visitors to literally “walk” through data generated during a situated design research study. The project is rooted in a real-life experience: a journey of over 800 km through the Spanish wilderness, during which a researcher engaged with more than 200 backpackers from over 35 nationalities.
Through this journey, conversations and reflections emerged around the relationship between humans, nature, and technology, imagining futures where this interplay becomes more mindful, caring, and enriching. The installation translates this research into an immersive and playful experience, inviting participants to step into the researcher’s shoes and explore the outcomes in an intuitive and inspiring way.
The project was developed by Núria Jordán Sánchez, Maria Llop Cirera, Ester Montero Collell, Ferran Altarriba Bertran, Jordi Márquez Puig, and Ernest Forts Planas, all affiliated with the Playful Living Lab at ERAM, a research group focused on designing playful and sustainable technological experiences. In Potsdam, the installation was represented by Núria Jordán Sánchez and Adelina-Laura Bulibașa.
With this participation, ERAM strengthens its presence on the international stage, promoting projects that combine research, creativity, and social impact, while exploring new ways of understanding the relationship between technology and everyday life.
