Graduated in Performing Arts from ERAM School of Arts – UdG, Dolça Alcanyís develops her practice in the fields of performing arts creation, street arts, and artistic mediation. Her work is characterized by a transdisciplinary approach that connects the body, music, visual arts, and public space, exploring new relationships between contemporary creation and community engagement.
Her artistic background combines performing arts studies with a strong foundation in music. She holds a Professional Degree in Music from the Conservatory of Tarragona, specializing in violin and voice, and later completed a Master’s Degree in Teacher Training, specializing in Catalan Language and Literature, at the Universitat Rovira i Virgili.
Alongside her academic training, she has expanded her practice through workshops and programs with renowned artists and companies such as Joan Català, Eléctrico 28, Le G. Bistaki, Adrien Schvarzstein, Kamchàtka, and Cie Khtà, focusing on public space creation and contemporary performance languages.
She is a member of Cal Atzucac, a transdisciplinary collective that explores new performative languages through humor, poetry, and critical reflection on the contradictions of everyday life. Her work places a strong emphasis on community participation, collective creation, and the connection between the arts and social contexts.
In parallel, she develops projects related to illustration and arts education and is the co-author and illustrator of the children’s book Roda el món i troba un nom, an inclusive publication that incorporates Catalan Sign Language and promotes popular culture.
She is currently developing De l’embolic al rastre, a performance and community mediation piece created together with Laia Picas, which will premiere at Festival Z 2026. Conceived for public space, the work explores collective memory and the transformation of our perception of the environment through movement, shared journeys, and community participation.
