During her Bachelor’s degree in Performing Arts and Acting at the University School of Arts ERAM – UdG, María Cambil discovered her passion for acting by bringing to life Jean Anouilh’s Antigone, a role that allowed her to develop her talent and establish herself as an actress.
Throughout her career, she has participated in various professional productions such as Anomalía y Excepción (2021-2022) and Al Llindar de l’oblit (2021) by Joan Solana, among others. In the film industry, she has starred in short films like Punto y Coma (2019) and Brot (2021), as well as teasers such as Abreacció (2019) and Nubes de Azúcar (2020), the latter produced by El Terrat.
Her vocation has also led her to directing and producing. Anomalía y Excepción was her first work as author, director, and producer. Additionally, she has directed and produced Mujeres de paja, a play by Fran Puche, and has worked as an assistant director with renowned professionals such as Clàudia Cedó, Llàtzer Garcia, and Carla Rovira.
María combines her artistic career with teaching, designing and leading theater courses for all kinds of groups. She has worked with Escenaris Especials and ERAM Zeta, where she uses play and improvisation as tools to foster creativity and collective creation. She has also led community and applied performing arts projects such as Repercussió, where art becomes a vehicle for transformation and personal expression.
With a committed and creative vision, María continues to build a career that combines acting, directing, and education, aiming to give voice and shape to diverse and meaningful artistic universes.
