During his degree in Audiovisual and Multimedia Production at ERAM – University School of the Arts (UdG), Alejandro Maestra began entering the professional audiovisual industry. He completed his internship at the TV channel 8TV, participating in shoots for the program Catalunya en directe, an experience that allowed him to understand first-hand the pace and demands of the television sector.
From his very first year of studies, Alejandro combined university work with professional shoots for different companies beyond ERAM’s academic projects. This constant contact with the industry opened the door to freelance work, where he specialized in 360º filming and virtual reality productions after completing his studies.
This path led him to collaborate with Octocamvision, one of Europe’s leading companies in drone technology and 360º engineering for film productions. Over time, he has specialized as an aerial camera operator, working on high-end advertising and film productions for international brands such as Heineken, EasyJet, Škoda, Ford and Honda, among many others.
In 2021, he also co-founded Drone Amigos together with Brandon Carrera and Xavier Ollé, a startup dedicated to drone filming services that established an exclusive agreement with the German company Skynamic to provide services in Southern Europe. This project has allowed them to participate in high-level film and advertising productions, consolidating their position within the professional aerial filming sector.
Currently, he continues to work on international film and advertising projects and has participated in productions with renowned directors such as Xavi Giménez, further expanding his career within the film industry.
