New Official Degree in Fashion at the University School of Arts ERAM-UdG
The University School of the Arts ERAM - UdG will start in September 2023 the new Degree in Fashion, taught by the professionals of the Qstura School, with more than 15 years of experience in the sector. As a center attached to the University of Girona, ERAM continues to expand its training offer and positions itself as the only University School dedicated to the arts in Catalonia.
ERAM-UdG offers transversal studies so that when students leave with the official Degree in Fashion issued by the University of Girona, they are prepared for the transdisciplinary perspectives of the professional fashion sector. During the 4 years of the degree, you work on fashion from different perspectives: business, design, communication, creativity and tailoring, coming into contact with the humanities, sciences and technology at the same time.
Following the ERAM-UdG Work&Play methodology, students will take a high percentage of practical credits from the first year.
Students leave the Degree in Fashion to enter one of the professional sectors with the highest projection in Spain, representing 2.7% of the GDP. In this way, very versatile professionals are created, where they can be found from fashion designers, pattern makers and clothing professionals, to those responsible for communication, marketing and fashion advertising, styling, company management in the fashion sector, teaching, research and research.
From ERAM-UdG, students are encouraged to be professionals with critical and ethical skills in the sector. The degree also addresses the international aspect of fashion, with the learning of several languages, paying particular attention to professional communication in English. Knowledge of textile production techniques and business management in the sector is also included. Other important topics covered in the training include the use of technology in fashion, leadership and management of teams, research and analysis, and respect for the environment and sustainability.
This program promises to prepare a new generation of qualified professionals aware of the current challenges of the fashion industry.
