ERAM-UdG and the Salt City Council Promote the 3D Creation of Princess Samarcanda
The ERAM University School of Arts – UdG participated this year in the renewal of the image of Princess Samarcanda through the creation of a set of 3D materials, in collaboration with the Salt City Council. The project was developed at the center’s X-TRUDIO 3D laboratory and was carried out by Professor Sergio Cuervo.
The work consisted of the three-dimensional creation of Princess Samarcanda and the two guardians who accompany her during official events, with the aim of updating and strengthening the visual identity of the character associated with the municipality’s Christmas celebrations.
From this 3D project, various graphic materials were produced for children’s and family activities, such as coloring sheets, which were used in workshops during the “Fem un Salt al Nadal” (Let’s Take a Leap into Christmas) event and in other Christmas activities held in Salt.
As part of this project, a short promotional video featuring Princess Samarcanda was also presented, as well as the new seal and logo of the royal emissary, composed of a crescent moon and stars, which serves as the character’s new identifying brand.
This collaboration highlights the application of 3D technology in cultural and festive projects and strengthens the link between ERAM-UdG and the municipality of Salt, bringing digital and audiovisual creation closer to the local community.
