“Creative Project”: an immersive experience that redefines how we approach creative processes
At the end of the academic year, students of the Bachelor’s Degree in Audiovisual and Multimedia Communication (GCAM/DACM) take part in an intensive course designed to encourage a deep and reflective approach to creative processes. Over the course of three weeks, in a fully immersive morning schedule, students work in groups to develop open-topic projects within the disciplines of the degree.
The main goal of the course is to incubate the foundations of a creative project rather than fully execute it. This approach allows students to explore ideas calmly, delve into their conceptual frameworks, and learn to question their own decisions in order to sharpen their thinking and grow ideas with strength and resilience.
This subject occupies a unique space within the curriculum, as it does not overlap with any other course. This allows for total focus on the creative process. Such exclusive dedication enables students to fully immerse themselves in their work, free from distractions, and to experience the process with patience, commitment, and passion.
Both teachers and students consistently express high appreciation for this experience.
The course is not only greatly enjoyed by the students, but it also represents a pedagogical shift—a commitment to understanding that creative processes are not hurdles to be quickly overcome, but journeys to be undertaken with depth and sensitivity.
