During her Degree in Performing Arts at ERAM University School of Arts – UdG, Elena Romero began to define her artistic language, focused on the exploration of new forms of storytelling through the moving body, the poetics of objects, and the senses.
Throughout her training, which began at an early age in classical and contemporary dance, she progressively deepened her interest in the relationship between bodily movement and object-based expression, discovering in object theatre a powerful communicative tool. This line of research culminated in her Final Degree Project, Costura, a documentary object theatre piece that weaves together the memory of three generations of women from her family.
In the field of stage creation, she developed the project Costura, premiered in May 2022 with the support of Teatre Municipal de Girona and Centre Cívic de Porqueres, within the framework of the RERELTELÓ festival. The piece has been presented in various venues and festivals, such as Sala La Planeta in Girona, Fira Mediterrània in Manresa, and Petit Format in Olot, establishing itself as a proposal that combines artistic sensitivity with a commitment to memory and identity.
At the same time, she has expanded her training through the Xarxa de Productores de Catalunya and has worked in the field of cultural communication with Bitò Produccions during the Temporada Alta festival in Girona.
Over the years, she has consolidated a distinctive voice within the performing arts, developing an intimate and contemporary language that explores the relationship between body, object, and narrative. Her work is characterized by a delicate and poetic approach, with a special focus on memory, female identity, and new ways of storytelling through visual and tactile means.
