The record design of the 70's

End of degree project

This project is focused in studying the style that emerges from album records design during the late sixties to the early eighties. The goal is to highlight and extract a series of characteristic elements of it, which due to its general use in this format, allow us to identify and apply them in new practical cases. This is intended to be achieved through an analysis of the context and the influences with which the discipline of musical album design was born and developed, along with the review of a series of references (selected because of their use of certain aspects of interest) that will allow us to understand and visualize, in a clearer way, the essence -visual and conceptual- of the discipline at the moment in which the research is focused, to use it later in the creation of designs in the album records field.
