Carolina Martínez López

PhD in Fine Arts (UCLM), DEA in "New Cultural and Artistic Practices" (UCLM), Degree in Humanities (UCLM) and Diploma in Interpretation (Center for Training and Theatrical research La Casona, Barcelona). She also has the Certificate of Pedagogical Aptitude. Her specialties are the Performing Arts, Film, and Dance.

During the degree (in addition to being a cultural curator and performing his own artistic work), she is awarded four scholarships for stays abroad: Paris (Leonardo Da Vinci); University of Aarhus, Denmark (Socrates); School of Theatre of Tandil of the University of the center of the province of Buenos Aires, Argentina (Intercampus); and Graduaçâo en Artes Cênicas, Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais, Brazil (Intercampus). She taught classes and seminars related to the performing arts in the last two.

At the research level, she has been a researcher engaged in two projects: Digitizing the ephemeral: contemporary scenic creation in Latin America (JCCM), and Ibero-american virtual Archive of performing arts: enlargement, exchanges and encounters. As a collaborating researcher, she has participated in the projects: Autonomy and complexity. Methodologies for research in contemporary dance: Brazil, Slovenia, Spain, Turkey (Ministry of Science and Innovation. I+D+I), and Virtual Archive of Performing Arts (JCCM). She is currently a researcher in the project of excellence Presences and representations of women in the cinema of the origins, of the Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness.

She has edited and translated an anthology of texts by the filmmaker Maya Deren (Publications Service of the University of Castilla-La Mancha and Artea Editorial, 2015), has an indexed publication ISI/JCR in the L'Atalante film magazine and two in Latindex. She has also written and translated specialized articles for web pages and magazines of dance and performing arts.

As for her teaching experience, she is currently a tenured professor in the Degree in Performing Arts at the ERAM University School (Universitat de Girona), and has taught previously as associate Professor and guest at the UCLM (Faculty of Fine Arts and School of Education Sciences, Cuenca).

At the level of academic management, in the present she is Responsible for the International Area and has been Academic Coordinator of the Degree in Performing Arts at the ERAM School (UDG); She was Coordinator of the Dance Classroom of the University of Alcalá from 2008 to 2010 (participating then as a member of the selection committee of the Artists in Residence program of La Casa Encendida in Madrid) and has been a Secretary in the Summer Courses of El Escorial of the Universidad Complutense de Madrid in two editions (2012 and 2014).

Working in addition to her teaching and research career, she worked as a professional actress until 2008, and has extensive experience as a cultural and cinematographic Manager (as Head of Production of the International Women's film Festival in Direction, and as Coordinator and member of the Management Team and Selection Committee of the International Film Week in Valladolid, SEMINCI – Festival of which she is also the presenter-), currently acting as General Coordinator of the Spanish Film Week in Cuenca.
