Proposal of a new paradigm of interactive reel on visual effects, based on the dichotomy of the cinematographic reality and on a new type of active spectator.
The rapid technological advance, with the vertiginous transformation of the media, has led to a metamorphosis in the techniques and the criteria for the production of images, and also in the modes of their significance. As a consequence, in recent years, the transformations of the cinematographic device have led to a revalidation of the debate on realism.
This paper investigates these new formulations to establish and determine the new paradigm. However, there is also a journey to discover these new digital techniques, focusing on the case of special effects, which nowadays operate as regulators of reality. In turn, these have generated a new hyper-realistic cinematic aesthetic with a new type of active viewer.
That's why "Reelism" presents a new proposal for an interactive visual effects reel that evaluates and questions the dichotomy about the representation of reality, based on verisimilitude and the new paradigm of active viewer. In turn, this new interactive roll proposal aims to provide a renovation and adapt to an increasingly demanding and changing sector.
