Graduated in Audiovisual and Multimedia Production at ERAM and with honors in BA Graphic Communication from the University of Northampton (United Kingdom). Genís Carreras, graphic designer, illustrator and author of the book Philographics: Big Ideas in Simple Shapes, which for the third edition has been translated into 5 languages including Japanese; It is defined as a passionate person of design and art, humble and hardworker: "I like road trips, afternoons with friends, craft beer and classic videogames."
He has spent five years in London, working for various design and branding agencies then, he decided to return to Girona and set up Studio Carreras, an independent studio for graphic design, branding and illustration, where he works for clients around the world in editorial, visual identity, packaging and digital projects.
His work has been exhibited in New York, London, Paris and Barcelona, and has been part of the Graphic Design Festival of Breda (Holland) and the Lodz Design Festival (Poland). In addition, it has been awarded in Laus Award and nominated in the World Ilustration Awards, appearing in numerous publications in the world of design such as Fubiz, Étapes, Communication Arts, DesignWeek, WIRED, FastCompany, Brain picking, among others.
His work is reduced to the most essential and minimalist, projecting each symbol in a color, a shape and drawing them with a single stroke.
