JOMO. Design respectful of the economics of care

End of degree project

The boom of the internet and social media has transformed our day-to-day lives. Both young people and adults spend more time every day on these platforms that seek to capture our attention constantly.

The project aims to investigate what impact these new habits have on individuals and analyze what design and psychology techniques large companies use to maximize the time we spend on them.

This is complemented by the design, development and dissemination of a free and open source browser extension that aims to remove these addictive design patterns from social media, in order to return the control to users.
