Master Outline

The entire course, 60 ETC, is divided into two semesters. During the first one the contents are grouped in five sectors; introduction week, project Management & communication, interaction & technology, strategic creativity, design and communication.

The second semester is focused on the Final Thesis project, where all the previous knowledge acquired is put into practise. Inspiration labs are held by recognized professionals in their field to give inputs and support during the final project.

Introduction Week

Focuses on personal attitudes, motivation, team building and learning how to delegate. It also covers the process of getting to know the school, its services and facilities with guided tours from the school.

Project Management & communication
Covers the capacity to see marketing possibilities of a project; how to think, advertise and commercialize a product or an idea in the field of engineering and visual communication. It also teaches students how to develop communication policies together with a visual identity of a company and using administration legislative and commercial strategies to fund raise a project. Furthermore the skills need to manage a team project and to be able to understand the power of the online media and the possibility of the networking to run complex projects are part of the module.

Interaction & Technology

Students are taught how to understand how the technology proposes different perceptions and rethinking communication. Using either sensor, nanotechnology or different kind of devices the students learns how to program and use the tools to create a virtual reality to transform an abstract information into a visual message. Learning outcomes include human-computer interaction, development and advanced programming, development and control of robotics, the use of software algorithms and the design of users interface, the Analysis of imaging, 3D -modelling, image-enhancement, system visualization and 4 - Dimensional sound.

Strategic creativity
Students learns the methodologies to problem solving using creativity strategies. Using both the right side and the left side of the brain to manage the solution to a project, keeping an open-minded perspective and flexibility. Furthermore identifying the principles and evolution of creative process, understanding it´s relevance, develop concepts using visual and narrative resources and the constructive evaluation of results.

Design and communication
Focuses on design process and design thinking capacities for the development of a project and its communication as well as visual solutions from a given brief and focusing on the importance of applied design. Students are taught to design from accessibility and usability in a design for all concept, understanding visual culture, and how to apply the programs of interactive design, sound and digital video to a project.

Final Thesis

Solving from the research to the conceptualizing of an idea, understanding it´s economic and marketing development and viability, do the production and analyse after testing it, is what the student will be able to do after finishing this project. The thesis also allows the student to present the project to the scholarships of the university that can fund raise with: space in the scientific campus, live expenses between other facilities given by the entrepreneur incubator.
